Containers are created with `--rm`, so Docker removes them asynchronously after they stop.
The pre-start `docker rm` returns immediately while that removal is still in progress
(its error is suppressed), and the following `docker create --name` can fail with
"The container name ... is already in use".
This is easy to hit since systemd_service_manager switched its default restart mode to `all-at-once`:
many containers stop and start at the same time and Docker falls behind on removals.
The playbook then fails at "Restart systemd services needing restart at once",
even though the services recover on their own (`Restart=always`) a little later.
The external roles (MASH, devture) were hardened against this in 2026-03
(see mother-of-all-self-hosting/ansible-role-valkey@0ba79c0), but the roles in `roles/custom` never were.
This ports the same bounded cleanup loop to them: stop, force-remove,
and wait until Docker releases the name, failing explicitly after a timeout.

Replaces `community.docker.docker_image` with the modern
`docker_image_pull` and `docker_image_build` split modules. Drops the
`ansible_version` compatibility ladder and the now-redundant
`_container_image_force_pull` variable (the new pull module handles
registry refresh natively via `pull: always`). Also registers
`_container_image_build_result` so that a self-build rebuild correctly
triggers a service restart.

Track config/image/systemd changes via register: directives and compute
a _restart_necessary variable for each service role, allowing the
systemd_service_manager to skip unnecessary restarts during install-* runs.
Covers 22 service roles: alertmanager-receiver, appservice-draupnir-for-all,
bridge-mautrix-wsproxy (+ syncproxy), cactus-comments, cactus-comments-client,
corporal, element-admin, ldap-registration-proxy, livekit-jwt-service, matrixto,
pantalaimon, prometheus-nginxlog-exporter, rageshake, registration, static-files,
sygnal, synapse-admin, synapse-auto-compressor, synapse-reverse-proxy-companion,
synapse-usage-exporter, and user-verification-service.

This:
- brings consistency - no more mixing `_name_prefix` and `_registry_prefix`
- adds extensibility - a future patch will allow reconfiguring all registry prefixes for all roles in the playbook
We still have `_docker_` vs `_container_` inconsistencies.
These may be worked on later.
This is done for a few reasons:
- less globals and more indepdendence for each role is better. We rely
on various externally-hosted roles and they don't rely on this global
either.
- `matrix_container_global_registry_prefix` could make people think they
could just override this variable and have all their images pull from
elsewhere. This is rarely the case, unless you've taken special care
to mirror all the various components (from their respective
registries) to your own. In such a case, you probably know what you're
mirroring and can adjust individual variables.
- nowadays, various components live on different registries.
With Docker Inc tightening rate limits for Docker Hub, it's even more
likely that we'll see increased diversity in where images are hosted
Currently v3.0.0 tested with no issues.
So remove matrix_user_verification_service_docker_image from groups_vars.
/.npm must be writable or an error will be reported.
